The furniture was created out of a need for a simple desk that was easy to assemble and disassemble. The top size is 180x70cm, which was a challenge designing a piece of furniture without screws or glue. The materials used, OSB3 and spruce wood, are easily accessible and friendly to work with. The desk can be assembled by hand, without the help of a screwdriver. The basic connecting element is the wooden wedges that connect and lock the massive legs and top. Even though building furniture with these specialized methods is not superior, I recognize it as the mark of a craftsman.
Desk without screws
Stool prototype
A prototype of a stool that can be folded and unfolded very quickly without tools or the help of another person. The whole thing fits into a 50×70 cm folder. The construction of the stool consists of three legs that cross each other and connect to the ramboid seat by three tenon joints.
Bed frame
The simplicity of the design combined with the straight lines and natural wood are inspired by Japanese style. The clean lines and minimalist appeal were goals in the design process. The modern bed has a sturdy and solid but lightweight frame that gives it a unique, timeless look. Carefully crafted from European spruce, this piece showcases the unique beauty of solid timber.
